Digital- & Präsenz-basierter Kurs

The students will learn the principles of imaging and spectroscopy at THz frequencies. They will be introduced in current research topics and learn how to solve typical problems in THz research.

- Fundamentals of THz optics
- Passive and active components, metamaterials
- Antennas
- Radiation sources: lasers, photomixers, harmonic generation
- Detectors: semiconductors, superconductors,bolometers, heterodyne detection
- Spectroscopy: grating spectroscopy, Fourier-transform spectroscopy, heterodyne spectroscopy, time-domain spectroscopy, pump-probe spectroscopy
- Imaging: THz cameras, near-field micorscopy,stand-off imaging
