- The course deals with fundamentals of accelerator and beam physics (101). You will learn about the treatment of particle motion in accelerators and experience applied programming and measurement techniques.

- Introductory course in physics and maths.
Interest in particle accelerators.
- structure / topics / contents
- The course consists of a lecture series and project work. The lecture series deals with basic principles of particle acceleration and manipulation. We wil offer two projects: one aims at the development of a matlab/python particle accelerator simulator, the other is an experiment for a Betatron Tune Knob at a particle accelerator at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin.
