Digital- & Präsenz-basierter Kurs

Aims
The course deals with fundamentals of accelerator and beam physics (101). You will learn about the treatment of particle motion in accelerators and experience applied programming and measurement techniques.
Requirements
Introductory course in physics and maths.
Interest in particle accelerators.
Structure / topics / contents
The course consists of a lecture series and project work. The lecture series deals with basic principles of particle acceleration and manipulation. We wil offer two projects: one aims at the development of a matlab/python particle accelerator simulator, the other is an experiment for a Betatron Tune Knob at a particle accelerator at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin.
