Voraussetzungen
Introduction to nuclear and particle physics.
Further courses in astronomy, particle physics and/or statistics are advantageous but not required.
Gliederung / Themen / Inhalte
Astroparticle physics lies at the intersection of astronomy and particle physics.

The Universe can accelerate particles to energies vastly exceeding what can be generated in labs at Earth, but we still know little of where and how this takes place. This course covers how we observe traces of these processes through cosmic rays, gamma rays, neutrino and gravitational waves, and discusses how we can use these messengers to probe extreme energies.
