Understanding of high-sensitivity measurements based on quantum physics principles and overview of their applications in the life sciences including medical diagnostics, neuroscience and cell biology. Topics include the principles of sensing and characterizing parameters, quantum sensors and their conventional counterparts, magnetic measurements of neuron activities in the human body, brain-computer interfaces, magnetic microscopy and an overview over additional non-biological applications of quantum sensing.
