aims
The students will become familiar with theory and key experiments in the rapidly developing, multi-disciplinary field of attosecond science.
structure / topics / contents
Attosecond physics and technology, the subject of the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics, arise as a result of the interaction of strong laser fields with matter. The course will cover the fundamentals of attosecond electron dynamics driven in atoms, molecules or solids by laser fields with field strengths approaching the strengths of the internal electric fields inside material systems.
