- Surface and interface are of crucial importance in developing new materials and technology. Computational and theoretical methods complement experimental work to provide deep insights into observed phenomena.
This course will guide you to the practical modelling of surfaces and interfaces using ab-initio method. How to deal with the atomic structures, calculate the energetic, and illustrate some important features are the main focus of this course. Example calculations for selected systems will be demonstrated. We also introduce some recent hot topics in this field.
