Aims
The lecture will give an insight into electronic properties of quantum materials in magnetic fields
Requirements
Interest in quantum phenomena and -materials;
Basis: Basics of Solid state physics
Structure / topics / contents
- Introduction to transport phenomena in magnetic fields in quantum materials, e.g. Quantum Hall Effect, quantum interference effects and interferometry with electron waves in solids
- Modern applications: Definition of the unit "Ohm", quantum devices, design principles of quantum computers based on topological states
