- aims
- "Applied photonics" represents the use of light for technical purposes in the broadest sense. In addition to common types of solid-state lasers (semiconductor lasers, rare earth and transition metal doped crystal lasers, fiber lasers), their current fields of application, e.g. in material processing, medicine, measurement technology, communication and quantum technology, are also introduced.
